SBIR/STTR Resources for South Dakota Startups
South Dakota startups and innovators have access to a set of SBIR/STTR resources and support options designed to reduce barriers, strengthen proposals, and improve competitiveness for federal funding.
These resources are flexible and can be used independently, depending on a company's stage, needs, and goals.
Proposal Support & Matching Funds
Eligible South Dakota startups may access specialized SBIR/STTR proposal support through BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting (BBCetc).
SBIR/STTR Proposal Consulting
SBIR/STTR proposal support is provided by BBCetc. Startups engage directly with the consulting firm and are responsible for the full cost of services.
BBCetc specializes in SBIR/STTR proposal development and can provide:
- Client Assessment
- Training
- Agency Tool Kit
- Proposal Editing and Review
- Proposal Submission
- Post-Submission Assistance
Matching Funds
To help reduce out-of-pocket costs, matching funds may be available to eligible South Dakota startups that choose to work with BBCetc.
Matching funds:
- Cover 50% of eligible consulting costs
- Are available up to $1,000 per company
- Are intended to offset, not eliminate, proposal development expenses
